How to Offer Products and Services Online
By Richard K. Marshall · Originally published
Selling online isn't about pushing products. It's about solving problems.
Posting a link isn't enough. You have to position your offer so it attracts buyers. Digital products, services or physical goods, here's how.
1. Find what your audience needs
The best products and services solve a problem. Ask: what does my audience struggle with? If your offer makes their life easier, they're more likely to buy.
2. Sell results
People don't buy products. They buy results. Lead with benefits, not just features. Show how your offer improves their life or business.
3. Build trust before you sell
Before you ask for a sale, give value away through posts, videos or guides. When people see you as an expert, they're more open to your offers.
4. Use a clear call to action
Tell people exactly what to do next: "Download now," "Sign up today," "Get instant access." A clear call to action removes confusion and increases sales.
5. Make buying easy
Remove friction. Use a simple checkout, offer multiple ways to pay, and make pricing clear.
Serve first
Offer value first, build trust, and make it easy to say yes.
Look at your own offer today. Can a stranger tell in five seconds what problem it solves?
