Metanoia, Day 5: One Small Step

Part 5 of a ten-day journey. The full series is also available as one combined guide.
Small steps lead to big transformations in Christ.
Transformation isn't overnight. It's a process of being shaped into the image of Christ.
Romans 12:2 tells us to "be transformed by the renewing of your mind." But where do you start?
Pick one area
What keeps you from fully living out your faith right now? Your patience? Your words? How you handle stress?
Pick one. It doesn't have to be the biggest. Sometimes a smaller one builds momentum.
Small steps, big change
- Identify exactly what you want to change.
- Plan one small step you can take today. If it's patience, maybe you pause before you respond in a heated moment.
- Act. Take the step, however small.
Zechariah 4:10: "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin."
God cares about the process, not just the result.
Consistency is the key
It's not the size of the steps. It's taking them consistently. Each day builds a new habit that lines up more with God's will.
Like the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, these traits grow over time.
Reflect and pray
Tonight, look back. Did you take the step? How did it feel? Then pray:
- Thank Him for the chance to grow.
- Ask for strength to keep going.
- Ask for guidance on the next step.
Tell someone close to you what you're working on. Accountability isn't just about staying on track. It's about celebrating growth together.
Christ is with you every step.
Next: Day 6, Forgiveness.
